Abrasive blasting uses compressed air which enters a pressure vessel. The abrasive goes inside the vessel and when this is pressurised it is forced through a blasting hose to a nozzle where the air abrasive stream is taken down in size to achieve 100psi of pressure which is essential for the removal of coatings and corrosion, to achieve the correct surface profile.
We shot blast all our metal work in accordance with BS EN ISO 8501-1, meaning we can go from SA1 (light blast cleaning) all the way to SA2 (Thorough blast cleaning).
At Advanced Metal Treatments Ltd we use a media called Chilled iron grit. As the chilled iron media is blasted at the metal surface, it breaks at an angle, producing a permanent mixture of sharp grit with the ability to roughen up extremely hard surfaces and clean quickly
With our Abrasive blasting taking place in a 5.7 metre x 2 metre enclosed cabinet, no project is too Big or too small. Our experienced technicians use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure precision
We understand the importance of timely delivery, which is why we offer fast turnaround times without compromising on quality. Our streamlined processes and efficient workflow ensure that your project is completed on time.
